Ingredients:
- Two (2) tablespoons Dijon
mustard
- One (1) tablespoon
margarine
- One (1) pound of crab meat with cartilage
removed
- One (1) teaspoon Worcestershire
sauce
- Two (2) tablespoons Parmesan
Cheese
- One fourth (1/4) cup finely chopped
onion
- Four (4) egg whites,
beaten
- Vegetable
oil
Preparation:
- Take a 9x9 inch oven-friendly casserole dish
and spray it with vegetable oil. Preheat the oven to 350 F
- Melt the margarine in a small pan. Sauté the
onions for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Put together the onion, mustard, Worcestershire
sauce and crab meat in a separate bowl.
- Fold in gently the beaten egg whites. Pour the
resulting mixture into the casserole disk and sprinkle generously with
cheese.
- Bake for 25 minutes. You’ll know when it’s
cooked when it is puffed up and has a light brown color. Take it out from the oven and cut into
squares.
- Serve while
hot.
This dish serves around six people. The saltiness
of this meal would go well with something with a milder, less salty taste. Try serving it with lightly
seasoned fish.
