Cooking Snow Crab Legs Tater Tots

Ingredients:

  • One (1) pound cream cheese
  • Three (3) tablespoons garlic, minced
  • One-fourth (1/4) cup fresh cilantro, minced
  • One-fourth (1/4) cup green onions, minced
  • One (1) tablespoon Chipotle pepper puree
  • One-fourth (1/4) cup cream
  • One (1) cup mild cheddar cheese, shredded
  • One-half (1/2) tablespoon Tabasco
  • One (1) pound Snow Crab Legs Meat
  • One (1) pound bay shrimp
  • Three (3) pounds frozen hash brown potatoes, shredded
  • Three (3) cups bread crumbs

Directions:

  1. Leave the cream cheese in at room temperature for an hour to soften. Prepare a medium container with cover and place the cream cheese in. Use a mixer to blend the cheese until it smoothens. Add garlic, cilantro, green onions and pepper puree. Mix well. Add cream, cheddar cheese, Tabasco and crab meat. Blend well. Add shrimp, hash brown potatoes and bread crumbs.
  2. Cover the mixture and let it chill for 2 to 3 hours.
  3. Use a tablespoon to scoop the chilled mixture and make a tater tot ball by rolling it. It can be cooked by deep frying or baking with 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Let it chill for 1 hour.
  4. The ingredients can produce 80 to 100 tater tots. Makes 10 servings
