Ingredients:
- Two (2) cans (12 ounces for both cans) crab
meat
- One (1) cup of diced
celery
- One fourth (1/4) teaspoon of
salt
- Eight (8) slices of
bread
- One (1) teaspoon of
mustard
- Two (2) eggs,
beaten
- Two (2) cups of
milk
- Two (2) teaspoon of Worcestershire
sauce
- One half (1/2) teaspoon of
Tabasco
- One half (1/2) cup grated
cheese
- One half (1/2) cup
mayonnaise
Preparation:
- Put together the celery, mustard, mayonnaise,
salt and crab meat. Add some salt and spread them on one side of all the slices of
bread. Put two pieces of bread together to make
four sandwiches with the eight slices of bread.
- Mix the eggs, milk, Worcestershire sauce and
Tabasco together. Pour this over the sandwiches.
- Top with grated cheese and bake in a slow oven
at 325 degrees F for 45 minutes.
The serving size for this recipe is four. This is a very
saucy and slightly salty dish. It is absolutely delicious and people would be asking for more. This dish is
fairly easy to make and can be served as snacks or as a light lunch.
