Ingredients:
- One (1) medium sized diced
onion
- One (1) piece minced garlic
clove
- One (1) can (28 ounces) of
tomatoes
- One (1) teaspoon Worcestershire
sauce
- Two (2) tablespoons salad
oil
- Two (2) tablespoons all purpose
flour
- One (1) teaspoon
sugar
- One half (1/2) teaspoons
salt
- One eighth (1/8) teaspoon pepper
sauce
- One (1) bay
leaf
- One (1) Sliced
okra
- Two (2) 6 ounce packages of Alaska Snow Crab
meat
- One (1) cup cooked rice (still
warm)
Preparation:
- In a saucepan, heat salad oil over medium heat then add
flour and stir until it turns into a dark brown color. Be careful not to overcook
it.
- Put in the onion and garlic and stir
occasionally until it is tender
- Slowly add in the tomatoes including the liquid
in the can and stir slowly.
- Add the Worcestershire, salt, sugar, hot pepper
sauce and bay leaf.
- Break apart the tomatoes to release the
flavor.
- Heat until it boils. Then reduce it to low
heat. Let it simmer for ten minutes to blend the flavor.
- Add the okra and cook for an additional five
minutes. Check if the okra is tender.
- Add crab and stir to heat. Take out the bay
leaf
- Serve on top of white
rice.
This dish serves up to four people. This is a good
dish to serve to friends.
