Crab Wonton Cups

Ingredients:

  • One (1) can (6 ounces) of drained crab meat
  • One half (1/2) cup mayonnaise
  • One half (1/2) teaspoon of salt
  • One half (1/2) teaspoon of curry powder
  • One (1) tablespoon of chopped green onions
  • One (1) shredded cheese (preferably Swiss)
  • One (1) teaspoon lemon juice
  • One (1) can (8 ounces) of drained sliced water chestnuts
  • Twenty four (24) wanton wrappers.

Procedure:

  1. Take a tray of mini muffin tins and spray with non stick cooking spray. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Mix together the mayonnaise, curry, green onion, crab meat, curry powder, salt. Lemon juice and cheese.
  3. Cut wonton skins into little squares big enough to fill the mini muffin tray holes. Put in around a tablespoon of the crab meat mixture into each cup. Put a slice of water chestnut on top.
  4. Bake for twelve minutes. You’ll know it is cooked when the top is puffed and brown. Serve immediately.

This serves around six people with four crab wonton cups each. This is a very tasty treat and is similar to the pork siomai.
